Carruthers Real Estate Company seeks development opportunities, primarily in the Birmingham area, for office, retail, residential, industrial, and institutional properties. We seek development opportunities which, in general, serve to create a better living environment for those who live near or who interact with the development. We attempt to create real estate that conforms to the ideals of “smart growth” and “sustainable design,” and we believe that development of this type will create long term value in excess of standard index returns. We are more inclined to develop (or re-develop) properties which are close-in to the urban core versus distant suburbs. We are open to working with partners and we will provide a quick response to all development proposals.
